NAD+ IV Therapy in Houston and League City
NAD+ is a coenzyme every cell uses to make energy and repair itself, and your natural levels drop as you age. Our River Oaks and League City studios offer NAD+ as a full IV Drip, as a quicker intramuscular shot and as an add-on to most other Drips. We also offer Niagen (NR), a precursor your body converts into NAD+. This page explains how the options differ so you can choose the right one before you book.

Why people choose NAD+
NAD+ IV Drip Therapy may support:
- Energy, by helping cells produce ATP
- Healthy-aging goals and cellular repair
- Focus, mental clarity and mood
- Metabolism
- Recovery from inflammation and everyday aches
Choosing between an NAD+ Drip, an NAD+ shot and Niagen
- NAD+ IV Drip – the highest amount, given slowly over 1–4 hours. Best when you have time to relax in the studio.
- NAD+ IM Shot – a quick intramuscular injection for a smaller, regular dose.
- Niagen (NR) IV Drip and Niagen IM Shot – NR is a precursor your body converts into NAD+, and it can be given over a shorter time.
- NAD+ and Niagen plans – recurring plans for clients who want a set schedule.
Not sure which fits? The Nurse Practitioner consultation before your first NAD+ Drip covers exactly this.
What happens at your NAD+ appointment
- Arrive early. You’ll complete intake forms and have a Telemedicine visit with a Nurse Practitioner about your health history and goals.
- Vitals and set-up. A Registered Nurse checks your vital signs and places a small IV catheter.
- The infusion. NAD+ is given slowly over 1–4 hours, at a pace set by how comfortable you feel. Bring a book, a podcast or your laptop.
- Finish with a cleansing Drip. A cleansing IV Drip follows every NAD+ session, in both the loading and maintenance phases.
How to prepare
- Fast for 4–6 hours beforehand (water only). Most clients find the infusion more comfortable when fasted.
- Avoid alcohol throughout a loading series, because it works against what NAD+ is doing.
- Plan your time: sessions last 1–4 hours depending on your comfort and the dose.
Loading and maintenance: some clients start with an optional loading series, completed within 7 days, before moving to maintenance doses. You can receive up to 3,000mg a month.
How NAD+ works in the body
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) helps convert food into usable energy and supports the enzymes that repair DNA and clear out worn-out cell parts. When levels are low, those processes slow down. An IV delivers NAD+ straight into the bloodstream, so the full dose is available instead of being broken down in the digestive tract the way oral supplements are.
Who tends to choose NAD+
NAD+ appeals to clients whose goals go beyond hydration: busy professionals who want steadier energy and focus, active adults who care about
recovery and healthy aging, and people who’ve tried oral supplements and want to know what an IV can do. Because the first session involves a
medical consultation, you’ll talk through your health history and goals with a Nurse Practitioner before anything is given.
Making your first NAD+ visit comfortable
- Block out your time. Plan for up to four hours on your first visit, including forms and consultation. Later visits are usually quicker.
- Come fasted. Water only for 4–6 hours beforehand.
- Tell your nurse how you feel. If you feel pressure, warmth or discomfort, the rate can be slowed. That’s normal and it’s why sessions vary in length.
- Bring something to do. A laptop, a book or headphones make the time go faster.
- Plan the series. If you choose a loading series, schedule every session within the 7-day window before you start.
NAD+ and Niagen, explained simply
NAD+ is the active molecule your cells use. Niagen (nicotinamide riboside, or NR) is a building block your body converts into NAD+. An NAD+ Drip
delivers the molecule itself, which is why it’s given slowly. Niagen can be given in less time. Some clients use both at different times, and
either can be added to many of our other IV Drips as an add-on. If you’re comparing options, your consultation is the place to decide.

Frequently asked questions
Why does an NAD+ Drip take so long?
NAD+ is given slowly because a faster rate can cause temporary discomfort. Your nurse adjusts the pace to you, which is why sessions range from 1 to 4 hours.
Do I need a loading series?
No, it’s optional. Some clients start with one to build up levels within a week and then move to maintenance. Your Nurse Practitioner can help you decide.
Can I add NAD+ to another IV Drip?
Yes. NAD+ or Niagen can be added to most Drips as an IV Add-On.
Should I eat beforehand?
We recommend fasting for 4–6 hours (water only) before an NAD+ Drip. Most clients are more comfortable that way.
Which studio offers NAD+?
Both River Oaks (Houston) and League City. Book online or call either studio.
