Red Light Therapy in River Oaks and League City
Red Light Therapy is one of the quickest visits you can make to our studios. You stand between full-body panels of red and near-infrared light for 10–15 minutes, and then you get on with your day. Clients in Houston and League City use it as part of a regular routine for skin, recovery and energy, often on the same visit as Cryotherapy or an IV Drip.

What people use it for
Red Light Therapy may help with:
- Skin tone and collagen production
- Recovery after training and minor aches
- Everyday energy and mood
- Sleep quality
- Eye health in adults over 40
Results build with consistency rather than from a single session, so most clients plan a series. If you have a specific goal, tell the team at check-in and they’ll suggest how to combine sessions with other services.
Your first session, step by step
- Check in. A team member asks about your goals and answers questions about the equipment.
- Private room. You have the room to yourself. Most clients remove clothing so more skin is exposed to the light.
- 10–15 minutes under the panels. You’ll feel gentle warmth. Keep your eyes closed or use the goggles we provide; you’re welcome to bring your own sunglasses if your eyes are light-sensitive.
- Back to your day. There’s no downtime and nothing to recover from.
Session length: 10–15 minutes. How often: 3–5 sessions a week works well for most goals.
How red and near-infrared light work
The panels emit specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. Near-infrared passes deeper through the skin than visible red light, and both are absorbed by the mitochondria, the part of each cell that produces energy. The idea is simple: supporting cellular energy production may help tissue repair, calm inflammation and improve how skin looks and feels. There’s no ultraviolet light involved, so it doesn’t tan or burn the skin the way a tanning bed can.
Why full-body panels instead of a handheld device
At-home masks and wands treat a small area at low power. Our panels cover your whole body at once, front and back, so a single short session reaches your skin, muscles and joints together. That’s why many clients who own a home device still come in for full-body sessions.
Who Red Light Therapy suits
Red Light Therapy is popular with a wide range of clients because it’s short, relaxing and needs no recovery time. Runners and gym-goers book it
between training days. Clients focused on skin book it alongside facials to support collagen. People who sit at a desk all day use it as a
ten-minute reset that fits into a lunch break. Because there’s no UV exposure, it’s a common choice for people who want the glow of time in the sun
without the sun damage.
It isn’t for everyone. If you’re pregnant, have a light-sensitive condition, take medication that makes you sensitive to light, or are being
treated for a skin condition, talk with your physician before starting and let our team know at check-in.
Getting the most from your sessions
- Be consistent. Three to five sessions a week does more than an occasional visit. Put them on your calendar like workouts.
- Start with clean skin. Lotions, makeup and sunscreen can reflect or block some of the light, so come in with clean skin when you can.
- Hydrate. Drink water before and after, especially in Houston’s summer heat.
- Stack it smartly. For recovery, clients often do Cryotherapy first and Red Light second. For skin goals, pair it with your facial schedule.
- Track your goal. Take a photo or note how you feel in week one, then compare after a month of regular sessions.
What it feels like
It feels like lying in gentle, warm sunlight. It’s quiet, it doesn’t hurt, and many people close their eyes and use the time to
decompress. Ten to fifteen minutes goes quickly, and you can walk out and go straight back to work, the gym or errands.

Frequently asked questions
Is Red Light Therapy safe?
Yes, for most people. It uses low levels of light and warmth that don’t burn the skin, and it involves no UV exposure. If you’re pregnant, take light-sensitizing medication or have a medical condition, check with your physician first and tell our team at check-in.
Do I have to undress?
No, but exposing more skin lets more of it receive the light. You’re alone in a private room during the session.
How soon will I notice a difference?
It varies. Some clients feel more relaxed or energized after a few sessions, while skin changes usually take several weeks of regular visits.
Can I combine it with other services?
Yes. Clients often pair it with Cryotherapy for recovery or with a facial for skin goals. Ask the team which order makes sense for you.
Which studio should I book?
Either. Both River Oaks and League City offer Red Light Therapy. Book online or call the studio directly.
